About Parrodise

Parrot care, explained clearly and checked properly.

Parrodise makes short videos and sourced guides for people who share their home with a parrot, or are thinking about it.

Our fact-checking standard

How we check every claim

Each post is checked against a ranked list of sources before it goes live. Every post ends with the sources it used.

First choice

Peer-reviewed research and veterinary references

Scientific journals and avian veterinary manuals. Claims about health and diet are checked here first.

Supporting

Avian vets and welfare organizations

Guidance from avian veterinary practices and animal welfare groups, used for practical care advice.

Not used as sources

Forums, wikis and AI-written pages

Reddit threads, Wikipedia and AI-generated content can point to a question, but never count as proof.

Behind Parrodise

Two brothers and their parrots

Parrodise is run by Regan and his brother. Their three parrots appear in many of the videos.

Our first monk parakeet, and the reason Parrodise exists.

Hi, I'm Regan

I'm a full-time UI designer, and I run Parrodise with my brother. We started it after losing Leafy, our untrained monk parakeet, who flew out of a window I had left open. We want to help other parrot owners and first-time owners avoid the same mistake. We also want to share tips that help them take better care of their parrots.

Meet the flock

Cloudy, Pineapple and Fluffy live with the brothers and often star in the Shorts.

Cloudy

Budgerigar (budgie)

Pineapple

Green-cheeked conure

Fluffy

Quaker parrot (monk parakeet)
